Shindi: Popular Armed Resistance Affirms Its Role in Change and Rejects Narrow Affiliations

Shindi, Sudan – During a Ramadan Iftar gathering, Lieutenant General Mahjoub Hassan Saad, head of the Popular Armed Resistance in Shandi Locality, emphasized the role of the resistance in bringing about real change and its rejection of any tribal or partisan affiliations.

Lieutenant General Mahjoub clarified that the Popular Armed Resistance rejects all narrow affiliations and loyalties, whether political, regional, or tribal. He asserted that its only loyalty is to God and the country, and its goal is to unify the Sudanese people under the slogan “One Army, One People.”

Lieutenant General Saad stressed that the Sudanese people have decided to change history after the “accursed” war of April 15, which he described as the result of the political elites’ addiction to failure and their complete collapse.

He called for the rejection of all political, regional, tribal, and sectarian affiliations and loyalties without exception, and for rallying around the banner of the Popular Armed Resistance under the slogan “One Army, One People.”

Lieutenant General Saad called for the dissolution of all political parties due to their abject failure that led Sudan from 1956 to this “accursed” war.

He affirmed that the Popular Armed Resistance is moving swiftly towards its complete formation, through the establishment of a sound administrative structure at the local and state levels, to extend to all of Sudan, under the auspices of state institutions to protect it from infiltration in light of the critical circumstances the country is going through.

Lieutenant General Saad pointed out that the line of the Popular Armed Resistance is clear in the ranks of the armed forces, and that whoever opposes the army stands against the Sudanese people.

He stressed that change will be achieved through victory over the rebellion, and that there will be no negotiations with the enemy until victory or surrender.

Lieutenant General Saad praised the city of Shandi for its distinguished history in leading and guiding all of Sudan, and its pivotal role in resisting colonialism and writing the history of Sudan.

Lieutenant General Saad concluded his speech by calling on all Sudanese people to unite their ranks behind the Popular Armed Resistance to protect the country. He asserted that victory over the rebellion is inevitable, and that the Popular Armed Resistance is the one who has the right to decide the fate of Sudan.
